On January 1, 2015 Webb Wheel OEM established an independent business focusing exclusively on the needs of the specialty truck and vocational markets.

The new Specialty Truck Business Unit (STBU) is launched with TS16949:2009 quality certification in place as well as having pre-established partnerships with industry leading truck manufacturers. It will continue operations out if its current facility located in Ferdinand, IN. STBU will take advantage of Webb excellence in innovative engineering to introduce additional quality rotor, hub and drum products designed for the specific needs of the specialty and vocational equipment operators and OEMs. The new focused business unit having dedicated sales and service support for this unique market along with the resources available as a business of Marmon Highway Technologies will result in significant solutions-oriented wheel end products for these specific applications.

STBU will be led by Adam Wiechmann who has been with Webb since 2008. He previously worked in Research and Development in Cullman, AL, before moving to Tell City, IN, when he joined the Webb Wheel OEM team managing the engineering and quality groups. Most recently he held the position of Director of Engineering and Quality for that company. Prior to joining Webb, Wiechmann held various chassis engineering positions at General Motors with focus in test, product design and brake development on multiple truck programs. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Minnesota, a Master’s of Science in Engineering from Purdue University and an MBA from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University. Wiechmann will be joined at STBU by Jim Rosema (National Sales and Marketing), Brant Gayer (Manager of Operations & Purchasing), and Jenna Mitchell (Financial Controller), all of whom previously held key roles within Webb Wheel OEM.
