As the world-leader in off-highway wheel design and manufacture, GKN Wheels will be showcasing wheels from its proven Profi range at this year’s Farm Progress 2019 show in Illinois.
The high quality, high-performance Profi range delivers a wide range of operational and performance benefits, enabling farmers to improve productivity and efficiency, while at the same time delivering enhanced value over the lifetime of the wheel.
On display will be products from the Profi-Fit, Profi-Hub and Profi-Flex ranges, all of which enable original equipment manufacturers and machine operators to produce and use ever-larger and more powerful tractors and farm machinery over prolonged periods of time. Many of the products on display will be fitted with tires from manufacturers, including BKT and Firestone.
Taking center stage at this year’s show will be the Profi-Fit wheel, which has been designed specifically for low-pressure agricultural tire applications, combining durability with reduced weight and easier tire fitting. Used extensively to minimize the risk of soil compaction, low-pressure tires typically have stiffer walls, making them more difficult to fit. However, Profi-Fit wheels address this problem, with its rolled-over flange improving rim strength and minimizing the risk of tire damage during installation.
