Takoda Group Acquires Danco Metal Products

Takoda Group, LLC announces the completion of its acquisition of Danco Metal Products, Inc., a leading precision metal fabricator which has successfully served the metal and lexan fabrication industry for more than 70 years.

The official date of the transaction was October 31, 2011. Takoda Group, LLC has acquired 100% of the stock from Danco Metal Products, Inc.

Danco Metal Products, Inc. was founded in 1941 when George Danielson established the company with a vision for a streamlined process in the fabrication of portable x-ray equipment. More than seventy years later, Danco is still a leader in fabrication for the medical, power, telecommunications and many other industries.

Takoda Group will acquire a company that’s professional staff continues to improve techniques and bring to market cutting-edge examples of fabrication excellence. Danco’s trained personnel excel in the quality production of a wide variety of precision sheet metal components and fabrications.

Glenn Harbold, a Takoda Group Operating Partner, will assume the role of President of Danco Metal Products. Throughout his twenty-year career, Glenn has held a variety of senior operating, finance and business development roles in both emerging growth businesses as well as Fortune 500 companies. Prior to joining Takoda Group, Glenn co-founded Market Capital Partners, a boutique investment bank and small business advisory firm. Glenn received a BS in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from Cornell University and an MBA in Finance and Operations from Carnegie Mellon University.

Takoda Group, LLC Principals, L.T. Slater and James Williamson, will also provide significant guidance on strategic initiatives.

Danco Metal Products, Inc. will continue to operate under the company’s original name.
