Navistar highlighting full line of Class 8 International brand trucks at Mid-America Trucking Show

At the 2014 Mid-America Trucking Show, Navistar will display its full line of International brand Class 8 trucks featuring MaxxForce and Cummins engines.

Navistar Inc. is showcasing its full Class 8 vehicle portfolio with a blend of MaxxForce and Cummins engines this week at the Mid-America Trucking Show in Louisville, KY. The company's International ProStar with Cummins ISX15 engine, which was bestowed the American Truck Dealers (ATD) 2014 Heavy-Duty Commercial Truck of the Year award, will also be featured along with OnCommand Connection diagnostics demonstrations.

"We are producing the best products that we have ever offered and we are gaining recognition for it from the industry," says Bill Kozek, President of North America Truck and Parts for Navistar. "At this time last year, Navistar was starting its SCR transition with on-time launches of both the ProStar with ISX and the ProStar with MaxxForce 13. Today, it is incredibly satisfying to say that the very first of our SCR products has been named ATD 2014 Truck of the Year."

Navistar began its Class 8 SCR transition in December 2012 with the on-time launch of the International ProStar with Cummins ISX15. Today, the company's portfolio of heavy-duty trucks also includes the International LoneStar, PayStar 5900 Set-Back Axle and International 9900i with the Cummins ISX15 engine as well as the International ProStar, PayStar, TranStar and WorkStar with the MaxxForce 13 engine with SCR.

The company initiated its SCR medium-duty product transition in late 2013 with the on-time launches of the International DuraStar and IC Bus CE Series school buses with the Cummins ISB 6.7 liter engine. The company's propriety 9- and 10-liter engines with SCR will be available exclusively on the International DuraStar and International WorkStar vehicles beginning this summer.

This week at Mid-America, Navistar will also highlight new OnCommand Connection remote diagnostics system capabilities. The company's diagnostics system is designed to increase vehicle uptime and provide increased fleet management efficiency for fleets throughout North America. In addition to supporting quicker repairs and controlling maintenance and repair costs, OnCommand Connection is the first single remote diagnostics portal to use an open architecture system with fleets' existing telematics providers.
