Western Star Toughness and Versatility on Display at 2016 Work Truck Show

At The Work Truck Show, Western Star highlighted several vehicles designed specifically for the rigors of heavy-duty off-road and vocational applications.

The versatility of Western Star trucks were on display at its “Get Tough” booth (#4959) at the NTEA Work Truck Show (March 1-4, 2016).

The Western Star booth featured a number of its hand-built and body-builder friendly trucks solutions suited for the rigors of off-road and vocational jobs, such as construction, dump, municipal and oilfield applications.

The Western Star trucks that were on display included:

  • A Holland mobile welder built on a Western Star 4700SB with a Detroit DD13 engine and Eaton Fuller transmission
  • A Henderson snow plow built on a 4700SB with a DD13 engine and Allison 4000 Rugged Duty Series (RDS) transmission
  • A lube truck built on a 4900SF with a Detroit DD15 engine and Eaton Fuller transmission
