PPG Industries Introducing ULTRAPAX Packaged Pretreatment and Powder Coatings

PPG Industries will introduce its new ULTRAPAX packaged pretreatment and powder coatings at FABTECH 2012.

PPG Industries’ industrial coatings business will introduce ULTRAPAX packaged pretreatment and powder coatings solutions and exhibit its full range of liquid, powder, pretreatment and electrocoat products at FABTECH booth C2739, November 12 to 14 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

In addition, James Gezo, PPG technical service consultant, industrial coatings, will present “Introduction to Electrocoating,” a technical seminar that is part of the continuing education program at FABTECH, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on November 14.

The new ULTRAPAX packaged technology program will provide PPG’s customers with a full range of pretreatment products to be coupled with PPG powder coatings as part of a cost-effective, comprehensive, single-source coatings solution.

PPG pretreatment products encompass traditional spray and immersion zinc- and iron-phosphate systems, multi-metal cleaners, low-temperature cleaners, low-temperature phosphates and high-technology zirconium-based products. High-performance powder coatings by PPG are based on polyester, urethane, epoxy, acrylic and hybrid technologies.

Because PPG formulates, produces and tests pretreatment and powder products together, Randy Brent, PPG director, pretreatment and engineered products technology, says the ULTRAPAX package will offer customers effective and economical coatings solutions backed by PPG’s experience, technology and technical service expertise.

During “Introduction to Electrocoating” Gezo, a 20-year veteran of PPG’s industrial coatings business, will review the anodic and cathodic e-coat processes and examine how each is used to coat many everyday items for appearance, performance and durability enhancement.
