dSPACE's MicroAutoBox II is a prototyping solution for numerous gateway and bypassing applications in the field of electronic control unit (ECU) development/rapid prototyping, and is now able to provide a higher number of CAN channels required by engineers to prototype advanced controls systems for electric/hybrid drives.

  • Compact, vehicle-capable real-time platform
  • High-end processor
  • CAN, LIN and FlexRay bus interfaces, and a bypassing interface
  • Dimensions approximately match those of a real vehicle ECU
  • Can be coupled with a notebook and used for real-time data monitoring and parameter adjustment during test drives
  • Ideal for bypass-based prototyping
  • ?Increased analog input and output channels (I/O) address the requirements for advanced emission control applications for combustion engines
  • DS1513 I/O board increases number of CAN channels to six, and analog I/O to 32 ADCs and 8 DACs
  • I/O interfaces can easily be configured via user-intuitive dSPACE Real-Time Interface (RTI) blockset in the Simulink environment
  • CAN messages and communication strategy can be programmed using the RTI CAN or RTI CAN MultiMessage Blockset
  • DS1513 hardware meets future requirements for partial CAN networking
  • Enables engineers to prototype energy optimization strategies by allowing selective switching of CAN nodes
  • DS1513 I/O board can be combined with a freely programmable FPGA to help prototype software functionality requiring very high-speed computation
  • Connection to optional Embedded PC enables further functionalities to integrate various new sensors required for developing advanced driver assistance systems controllers
