Autocar, LLC added to its all-electric vocational vehicles with its first, all-electric, cabover refuse truck, the E-ACX. Two alpha units of the E-ACX will soon begin validation testing and demos with select customers. Autocar produces electric and alternative vehicles. The all-electric refuse truck is ready to handle the needs of the refuse vocation using a proprietary electric powertrain system specifically designed by Vorza for severe-duty vehicles.
The E-ACX stand has a battery agnostic solution and integrated cooling system that Autocar has engineered to adapt to different battery technologies. As innovations and improvements in the electric vehicle industry change, Autocar’s E-ACX is built to evolve and adapt to use any battery that the customer selects.
In addition, the electric refuse truck uses the Meritor E-axles designed to fit the differences of electric trucks and Smart Display integration for operator information and diagnostics.
