The QSB4.5 four-cylinder engine from Cummins Inc. delivers performance comparable to some six-cylinder engines but without the bulk and weight. A number of design elements help ensure the engine will meet EPA Tier 4 Interim and EU Stage IIIB off-highway low emission regulations taking effect in 2012.

  • Power output ranges from 110 to 163 hp (82 to 122 kW)
  • High Pressure Common Rail (HPCR) fuel system provides clean and efficient combustion while delivering a quick throttle response
  • Provides 5% better fuel efficiency than Tier 3 engines
  • Variable flow turbocharger optimizes boost for faster cycle times and high productivity
  • Direct Flow air filter system has a 35% smaller installation profile and improved efficiency
  • Utilizes Cummins Compact Catalyst for efficient PM reduction
