- Performance boosted to 90 kW (121 hp) with a maximum torque of 460 Nm due to single stage turbo with smart wastegate
- Features rated speed between 2,200 and 2,500 rpm
- Provides 8% improvement in specific fuel consumption (SFC)
- Heat rejection remains similar to its predecessor, meaning no major changes to the size of the cooling pack, helping to maintain compact dimensions
- Use of poly-vee belts and hydraulic lash adjustment reduce maintenance
