Sunny Delight Transfers California Fleet to CNG

Sunny Delight has transferred vehicles in its Southern California fleet to operate on compressed natural gas.

Sunny Delight Beverage Co. and its logistics provider in Southern California, Transplace, have implemented a fleet of compressed natural gas (CNG) delivery vehicles. 

Using the CNG vehicles has helped Sunny Delight reduce its fuel costs while lowering greenhouse gas emissions.

Reports estimate a 23% savings in greenhous gases when vehicles are converted from diesel to CNG. With the new vehicles in place, Sunny Delight anticipates saving 400,000 gallons of diesel fuel in 2012.
