DOE Releases Database Offering Cost and Performance Estimates of Clean Energy Technologies

The DOE has released a new public database which offers cost and performance estimates of clean energy technologies to help companies in their research and development plans.

The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) has released a new public database which provides cost and performance estimates for electric generation, advanced vehicle and renewable fuel technologies. Known as the Transparent Cost Database (TCDB), anyone from companies to policy makers to consumers can find technology cost estimates in the database.

Information in the database can be used to help determine company costs, model energy scenarios, as well as inform research and development decisions. The database is designed to help companies and investors make informed decisions in regards to the development and implementation of clean energy technologies.
