BAUMA China, taking place in Shanghai from 23 to 26 November 2010, is an international trade fair for construction machinery, building material machines, construction vehicles and equipment. DEUTZ and its joint venture DEUTZ (Dalian) Engine Co., Ltd. (DDE) will be presenting engines for construction equipment at the fair. Over 1,800 exhibitors from around 30 different countries will be showing their products in the 230,000m² exhibition centre. DEUTZ and DDE offer a number of engines with a power output range of up to 520 kW that combine increased power density with a high level of efficiency and proven DEUTZ quality.
In the lower output range, DEUTZ will be exhibiting the tried-and-tested TCD 2011 L4 in Shanghai. This charge-air cooled four-cylinder engine – which is also available as a six cylinder – features a compact engine design and an innovative and efficient injection/combustion system. The power output range is between 23 and 74.9 kW.
The BF6M 2012 C, which is made in Dalian, is a medium power range engine. This water-cooled engine for construction equipment has an output of 75 to 147 kW and offers robustness and high power density. Up to 88kW, the four-cylinder engine can be optionally equipped with a mechanical injection system.
Another engine in the medium power range is the compact BF6M 1013 EC. Also manufacturedby DDE, this water-cooled in-line engine with four or six cylinders meets the requirementsof the Tier 2 emissions standard and has a power output ranging from 63 to 200kW.
For applications requiring higher output ranges, DEUTZ's portfolio includes the TCD 2013L6. This engine for construction equipment is available with four or six cylinders and boasts apower output range of 74.9 to 243kW.
The engine on show with the highest power range will be the TCD 2015 V8. This liquid-cooled V engine – which is also available as a six cylinder – has a power output ranging from 240 to 500kW and features a compact and robust design.
DEUTZ's star exhibit at bauma China will be its new TCD 4.1 L4 engine, which it developed for the future Tier 4 emissions standard. This robust diesel engine is available with four or sixcylinders and offers a power output range of 70 to 115kW and a high power density. Fittedwith the DEUTZ Common Rail (DCR®) high-pressure injection system, this industrial enginefulfils the requirements of the emissions legislation for mobile machinery pursuant to EU TierIII B and US EPA Tier 4 Interim.
The phased tightening of exhaust gas legislation in China will boost the demand for top-quality technology in the coming years, offering DEUTZ significant potential for growth in Asia. DEUTZ's presence in China currently encompasses a sales and service company plus two joint ventures in Dalian and Weifang.
