The Cologne-based engine manufacturer Deutz is opening a new service center in Spain on September 27, 2012. Covering an area of almost 4,000 m², the Madrid service center represents a center of excellence for engines that will provide the very highest levels of customer service.

In addition to offices, there will be a 500 m² workshop and a 1,000 m² logistics area. There will also be a spare-parts shop for customers and a large fleet of machinery. In addition to the workshop, which will be fitted out with all the necessary equipment for working on Deutz engines, there will also be four fully-equipped vans which the mechanics will be able to use to carry out on-site repair work. The logistics area is equipped with state-of-the-art, fully automated warehouse technology to ensure rapid and problem-free material handling.

Isidoro De La Flor, head of sales for Deutz Díter, comments that the opening of the new service center would provide the company's local partners in Spain with a center of excellence for diesel engine technology in which customer satisfaction, speed and efficiency are given the utmost priority. He also emphasized that the new service center would strengthen Deutz's distribution network in Spain and Portugal. Deutz AG is represented in Spain by its subsidiary Deutz Díter (sales in Madrid and a components plant in Zafra).
