ACAT Global Hires New Vice President of Sales and Marketing

ACAT Global's new Vice President of Sales and Marketing Jeff Gammons will help grow the company's OEM business in both the automotive and heavy-duty vehicle markets.

ACAT Global, a manufacturer of lightweight, efficient catalytic converters, has hired automotive industry veteran Jeff Gammons as Vice President of Sales and Marketing.

Gammons, of Waterford, MI, will oversee the launch of ACAT’s first products to the automotive aftermarket and begin developing a portfolio of automotive OEM business. He will also be in charge of establishing the ACAT brand in other industries, including heavy-duty and commercial vehicles, marine, locomotive, military, power generation and industrial applications.

ACAT acquired all the technology and manufacturing assets of Delphi's metallic catalytic converter division in 2010, after Delphi had invested $500 million over 20 years to bring its substrate technology to the marketplace.

Gammons joins ACAT after stints at Federal-Mogul Corporation, where he served as a senior manager in global aftermarket product marketing, and Meritor, where he served as manager of marketing & communications and had responsibility for overseas markets, including Asia and South America. He has also been with Siegel-Robert Inc., a plastic injection molding company, and spent 10years with Dana Corporation, holding positions in external communications, marketing and sales.

Gammons, who lived in Spain for a year as a high schooler, is fluent in Spanish and has spent time working for Universidad de Guanajuato (translation: University of Guanajuato), where he established an international purchasing office for the state university system in accordance with the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) legislation.

After earning bachelor’s degrees in economics and in Spanish literature at Hope College in Holland, MI, Gammons earned dual master’s degrees from the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque: an M.B.A. in marketing and international management, and an M.A. in Latin American studies, developmental economics.

Gammons is married with two children. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time boating and water skiing with his family. He has also restored vintage vehicles, with his current project vehicle being a 1963 Ford Galaxie convertible.
