As technological leadership is one of the key values that drives FPT Industrial, the company will display next-generation products at EIMA 2018, in Bologna, from November 7-11.

At its stand (Hall 15, stand B13), FPT Industrial will display its N45 and F36 engines that stand out for their best-in-class features, such as efficiency, lightness and easy maintenance. Both engines use HI-eSCR2, the second generation of the company’s exclusive aftertreatment system.

This technology integrates a Particulate Filtration System on an SCR module, which does not require vehicle modifications from the Stage IV solution. HI-eSCR2 ensures compliance with the Stage V emission regulations, and also offers many customer benefits.

Thanks to its integration, HI-eSCR2 does not compromise the visibility nor maneuverability of the vehicle and maintains the compactness of the engine. The after-treatment system ensures high productivity, a simple installation, high durability, maximized uptime, environmental sustainability and reduced operating costs. N45 engineN45 engine

N45 Stage V

The N45 is one of the highlights of the NEF family, which has been a mark of FPT Industrial’s technological excellence since 2001. The 4.5-L engine has a 4-cylinder configuration and delivers maximum power of 204 hp, an increase of 15% compared to the previous version.

The dimensions and layout of the N45 Stage V are kept the same as the Stage IV version, preserving the unit’s lean design, which also results in the same packaging and the same cooling requirement as the previous model. Additional improvements ensure fuel efficiency, and advances in filters and the clogging sensor have led to a doubling of the service interval to 1,200 hours.

F36 Stage V

Designed specifically for off-road applications which require extreme compactness and versatility, the F36 is easily adapted to different machines and installations. The Stage V version of the engine has a 3.6-L displacement and benefits from a new turbocharger and optimized piston design to deliver more performance than its predecessor.

Consequently, a 14% increase in maximum power, now up to 143 hp, and 20% more torque, now up to 600 Nm are available. The injection system has been redesigned to ensure low noise, reduced transitory emissions, fuel economy, optimized combustion and performance.

The HI-eSCR2 aftertreatment system takes the solution to another level, with enhanced benefits. Combined with the oil change interval of 600 hours and the single-sided serviceability, the technology offers easy compliance with Stage V with simple maintenance, resulting in a 10% productivity increase.
