Power management company Eaton announces the release of its corrosion-resistant plating technology, Guardian Seal on carbon steel Walterscheid tube fittings, which gives industrial and mobile customers the confidence that fluid conveyance connections will withstand even the toughest of environments.

- Prevents red corrosion to a minimum of 720 hours
- Exceeds SAE's corrosion resistance requirements of 96 hours to red corrosion
- Meets VDMA’s 24576-K5 requirements of 720 hours to red corrosion
- Combines standard zinc-base plating with micro-impregnation technology to create an anti-corrosive membrane that provides complete protection
- Walterscheid tube fittings with Guardian Seal are similar in appearance, interchangeable and compatible with all existing Walterscheid products plated with hex chrome-free zinc plating
- Features identical installation and torque requirements compared to Walterscheid hex chrome-free zinc plated products in the same part number
- Compatible with standard hydraulic fluids
- Nickel free, solvent free, and meets global requirements for Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS), End-of-Life Vehicle (ELV), and Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemical substances (REACH)
