To give its customers performance and reliability in a compact package, the Hydraulic Pump and Power Systems Division of Parker Hannifin Corporation, the global leader in motion and control technologies, unveiled a prototype of the Parker P1M Series at The International Fluid Power Exposition (IFPE) trade show at the Las Vegas Convention Center from March 7-11.

The P1M product family was developed specifically with the mobile equipment manufacturer in mind. Power density, space claim and versatility were all taken into consideration to assist the division’s OEM customer base with their particular platform needs. Utilizing a “Zero Defect” approach, the P1M family of products will be assembled on a no fault forward assembly and testing process that includes state-of-the-art robotics, precision vision systems and automated leak and end-of-line testing.

The P1M product family includes seven standard displacement (cc) options: 28, 45, 54, 65, 75, 90 and 105, and features 280 bar continuous pressure rating for 28 through 75 and 310 continuous bar pressure for 90 and 105. A new patent pending inlet design offers industry-leading inlet speeds and higher volumetric efficiencies. The P1M has standard SAE mounting flanges and shafts, as well as versatile port block options (end port, side port and side port with thru drive). The thru drive version will allow for full torque stackable pumps to decrease the overall space claim required to operate multiple functions.

The P1M is part of the IQAN Connect family of intelligent hydraulic components, utilizing standard J1939 protocol to easily integrate with Parker’s customizable IQAN software for total electro-hydraulic control and asset management. This product also features compatible open loop electronic displacement and fan drive controls, load sensing and dual ramp torque control for a diverse range of mobile applications.
