Danfoss Power Solutions introduces a new Non-Feedback Proportional Electric (NFPE) control option for its MP1 closed circuit axial piston pumps. The MP1 already provides best-in-class modular configuration for manufacturers seeking a reliable pump, and the NFPE control expands the MP1 control portfolio for further customization.

The NFPE control will be available in the first quarter of 2018 as a standard option for all MP1 frame sizes (28/32 and 38/45 cm3). The scope of MP1 applications is broadened with the control portfolio that now includes 3-Position Electric Control, Electrical Displacement Control, Manual Displacement Control and the new NFPE control.

Implementing the NFPE control option enables OEMs to use the MP1 pump as an automotive type control solution, as it combines the innovative MP1 pump portfolio with proven Danfoss controllers and software. It is designed to enhance applications such as compact wheel loaders, dumpers, sweepers and telehandlers.

Danfoss Power Solutions is pleased to introduce yet another opportunity to be a better business partner,” says John Heller, Director of Product Marketing with Danfoss Power Solutions. “By expanding the offering of MP1 pumps, our customers will have increased access to the flexible solutions they need when they need it.”

MP1 features and benefits

The MP1 pump is designed to help OEMs provide proven, precision machine control for customers while speeding up the design process, improving time to market and offering endless possibilities in connectivity and data capture through telematics.

Highlights of adding the NFPE control option to the MP1 line-up include:

  • Best-in-class system efficiency while aligning with Tier 4 and Stage V compliant engines.
  • Compatibility with proven Danfoss automotive controllers and software, ensuring machines achieve maximum productivity.
  • Built-in flexibility through common pump platforms for controls and porting; this modularity greatly reduces manufacturing variation for simplified component sourcing and improves time to market.
  • Superior support from Danfoss Power Solutions, which promises to deliver application-specific design to fit machines and to lower the business risk for OEMs by providing reliable, available, proven product and system solutions.
