Chris Vavra has been named editor of OEM Off-Highway, effective Sept. 16, taking over for Kathy Wells, who joined sister publication Equipment Today as its editor-in-chief in August.
Vavra will be diving in head-first to take over OEM’s print production, website, podcasts, webinars, getting up to speed with the upcoming OEM Industry Summit and more. He'll also be heading to MINExpo, the Battery Show and more.
Vavra maintains more than a decade of experience covering the engineering, manufacturing and automation industries. He spent 13 years as an editor, writer and production manager for CFE Media and Technology (now part of WTWH Media LLC) and worked almost exclusively for Control Engineering and Plant Engineering. In his free time, Vavra writes and is an avid sports and video game fan; he’s participated in several live and virtual video game tournaments and events since 2018.
