Volvo Group CEO to Discuss Electromobility, Autonomy, and Connectivity

During the HDMA Luncheon & Briefing at NACV, Martin Lundstedt will discuss the factors driving the changes within the global transportation industry.

The Heavy Duty Manufacturers Association (HDMA), the commercial vehicle division of the Motor & Equipment Manufacturers Association (MEMA), announces more details about keynote speaker Martin Lundstedt’s presentation at HDMA’s Luncheon & Briefing on October 29, 2019 in Atlanta. 

Lundstedt, President and CEO of the Volvo Group, will discuss the societal and technological factors driving the transformation of the global transportation industry, with a special focus on the rapidly progressing areas of electromobility, autonomy, and connectivity. The Volvo Group has recently announced major technological initiatives and strategic partnerships in each of these areas, which the company believes will bring significant benefits to both customers and society through increased energy efficiency, productivity, safety, and sustainability.

Lundstedt will discuss the Volvo Group’s accelerated execution on new technologies and business models, its transition from pilots to commercialization, and the opportunities this period of transformation offers for the entire value chain serving the global transportation system.

Following the keynote speech, Jay Craig, CEO and President of Meritor Inc., will moderate a Q&A session with Lundstedt, which will include a focus on major technology trends and their impact on supplier-manufacturers, fleets, and OEMs.

Luncheon & Briefing is an annual program with a 29-year legacy of attracting top industry executives. This “must attend” program presents an opportunity for HDMA members, their customers, the media, and the financial community to have lunch, network, and receive first-hand information on the outlook for the dynamic global commercial vehicle industry and technology impacting trucking in the future.

This year’s program will be co-located with the NACV Show in Atlanta and will be held in the Thomas Murphy Ballroom at the Georgia World Congress Center from 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
