John Deere Grants $1 Million for Japanese Relief

John Deere Foundation grants $1 milliion to Japanese earthquake relief efforts.

The pholanthropic organization of Deere and Comapny, the John Deere Foundation, approved a grant of $1 million to relief efforts for the earthquake and tsunamis that occured in Japan. This grant will go to the Red Cross Organization which is involved in helping those relief efforts. Along with the grant the foundation will match any Deere company employee donations to the relief efforts up to $500,000.

Deere and Company's foundation donates to many philanthropic causes throughout the year. Part of these donations include an annual contribuition of $250,000 to both the American Red Cross National Disaster Relief Fund and the International Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund.
