Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems LLC has announced a new feature to its lineup at the 2011 Mid-America Trucking Show - The Bendix Tech Talk Series. The series is part of its effort to help educate attendees about advanced safety technologies, energy management solutions, CSA, reduced stopping distance - as well as address preventive maintenance and product upkeep tips - with hands-on demonstrations, dialogue, and interactive Q and A sessions scheduled hourly during the show.

The 15-minute Tech Talks, available for free to all show attendees, begin at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, March 31. The final session is scheduled for 12:30 p.m. Saturday, April 2, at Bendix Booth No. 32325 in the South Hall.

Attendees will have the opportunity to explore what many of today's most pressing industry issues will have on drivers, fleets, and overall vehicle operation. Long known as a leader in service and product support, Bendix business and product experts will cover today's hottest topics, including CSA for drivers and fleets; what's on the horizon with active safety technologies; the value of oil-coalescing technologies; the impact of fuel consumption and greenhouse gas regulations on vehicle operation; and debunking the myths surrounding the reduced stopping distance mandate that launches in August.

The information-packed series also features valuable "how to" sessions presented by Bendix product managers and the veteran Bendix SWAT team, covering preventive maintenance and other operating tips for compressors, tire pressure monitoring systems, anti-lock braking systems, air treatment, and foundation brakes. It's a must-see for everyone from OE and fleet executives to drivers and maintenance technicians.

"We're pleased to introduce the Tech Talk series at this year's Mid-America Trucking Show. From our air brake schools and technology demonstrations, to our comprehensive maintenance support and field education, maintaining an ongoing dialogue and information-sharing aimed at keeping the members of the trucking industry in-the-know has always been a Bendix hallmark," says Barbara Gould, manager of communications and brand management at Bendix. "The new Tech Talks series is just another way for us to help keep vehicle manufacturers, owner-operators, maintenance technicians, fleets, and their drivers informed and moving forward."
