The Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) says 2011 ended on a positive note regarding the organization's fight to help protect the forestry industry. AEM has been working with coalition partners to protect the industry against government regualations which could be detrimental to the forestry industry.
In mid-December the U.S. Congress passed legislation that would protect the forestry industry for one year from permit requirements designated by the Clean Water Act.
