ASABE Revises Standard for Agricultural Equipment Manuals

ASABE has revised its standard for agricultural equipment manuals, completely rewriting the standard to incorporate several new changes.

The American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers (ASABE) has revised its standard for agricultural equipment manuals.

The revised standard, ANSI/ASAE EP363.2, Tractors, machinery for agriculture and forestry, powered lawn and garden equipment – Operator’s manual – Content and format , was a complete rewrite incorporating a long list of changes. As a next step, ASABE will propose that EP363.2 be used as the basis for a revision of a corresponding, identically titled international standard, ISO 3600:1996.

ASABE members with standards access and those with site-license privileges can access the full-text of the standard by electronic download in about a week. Location for the download is on the ASABE online Technical Library at: elibrary.asabe.org. Others can obtain a copy for a fee directly from the library or by contacting ASABE headquarters at [email protected].
