Navistar's Board of Directors recently ousted Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Daniel Ustian and appointed Lewis Campbell as interim CEO.
Reports indicate the decision was based on the company's struggles to have its engines approved by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Originally the company was attempting to cut emissions released by diesel engines without using urea. However, in July the company reversed courses and decided it would use urea to meet emissions regulations.
