The latest addition to the Case IH Nutri-Placer line, the Nutri-Placer 920, is designed for productivity and up-time while placing nutrients in the root zone to maximize return on investment.

“We are excited to offer this commercial-quality applicator for producers who want increased productivity and a value-added fertilizer application,” says Dave Long, Case IH Marketing and Sales Manager for pull-type fertilizer applicators.

All-New Frame Design and Strength

The Nutri Placer 920 is all new from front to back. It features a front mounted coulter bar with five section flex and active hydraulic down pressure to maintain uniform depth and accurate fertilizer placement over a wide range of field conditions. Utilizing double tubes with fore and aft bracing provides the frame strength that allows for longer implement life and greater stress relief. The heavy-duty, welded-frame design delivers large-acre productivity, even in the toughest field conditions.

Larger than previous models, the Nutri-Placer 920 offers a choice of either a 1,650-gallon or 2,050-gallon tank, so producers can work longer before filling up. The all-new tank chassis centers the tank over the axle for consistent positive tongue weight whether the tank is loaded or empty. Additionally, a low center of gravity is created, offering more stability as producers go over bumps and hills in the field.

The Nutri-Placer 920 also offers overall improved transportability with an innovative X-Wing frame design that folds for narrow transportation width and low transportation height, so it can be easily transported when the closest field is a few miles away.

Unmatched Agronomic Features

Equipped with spring-loaded, 20-inch coulters, the Nutri-Placer 920 delivers fertilizer into the root zone with your choice of a straight-stream injector or a liquid knife. This provides increased nutrient availability and minimizes residue and soil disturbance. Additional benefits include reduced horsepower requirements, a wider operating window and faster operating speeds.

As the largest liquid fertilizer applicator in the lineup, with up to 25 coulters in a 60-foot frame size, the Nutri-Placer 920 matches a 24-row planter. The outer wings can also be folded for conversion to a 17 coulter applicator to match a 16-row planter.

The Nutri Placer 920 utilizes a hydraulic driven centrifugal pump, providing a wide range of rate control and capacity.

“The Nutri-Placer 920 is designed for the demands of large-acre productivity and has features that accurately place nutrients in the root zone to maximize return on investment,” says Long.
