Efficiency Training Centers Teach Energy Assessment Skills to Save Manufacturers Money

During a recent trip, President Obama highlighted the Department of Energy's Industrial Assessment Program which is designed to teach energy assessment skills.

The U.S. Department of Energy's Industrial Assessment Program, recently highlighted during a trip by President Obama, provides participants with the skills necessary for facility energy assessments. So far, these assessments have helped save more than 53o trillion British Thermal Units (BTUs) of energy as well as saved manufacturers over $5.6 billion in energy costs. 

Through the program university-based Industrial Assessment Centers have been, and continue to be, set up across the country. 

With this program engineering students are learning practical skills and gaining real-world experience they will be able to utilize in their future careers.
