Thomas G. Faria Corporation (established in 1956), a world leader in the design and manufacturing of analog and digital engine monitoring instrumentation to a wide range of global markets, announces the acquisition of Beede Instruments.

Beede, established in 1917, is one of the oldest U.S. gauge manufacturers and has built a strong reputation for quality and customer service working with customers like the Ford Motor Company and a broad range of other industrial OEMs.

Faria and Beede are two of the few remaining vertically integrated ISO9001 U.S. manufacturers of NMEA 2000, J1939, and SmartCraft instrumentation operating in the world’s most rugged marine, military, and industrial market segments.

David Hickey, President & CEO of Faria Corporation states, “The combined and complementary strengths of the two organizations strengthen both companies for strategic growth, while continuing to provide the unprecedented service and quality that our customers have come to expect.

"With Beede operations in New Hampshire and Faria in Connecticut, our two companies are conveniently located to share resources; while our combined product offerings and innovative new technologies will provide customers with a complete engine monitoring package, including controls and telematics.”

Walter Pelletier, Chairman & CEO of Beede Instruments, remarks, “Our two companies have grown up together over the last 50 years and as I look forward to retirement, I cannot think of a better future for keeping the Beede legacy alive.”

The two divisions will continue operate under the well-respected Beede and Faria brands and logos.
