President Obama Announces Funding for Alternative Fuels

President Obama announces $30 million in funding for natural gas and biofuels as alternative fuels options for vehicles.

President Obama recently announced that $30 million in funding will be allocated towards research for natural gas and biofuels as alternative fuel options for all Americans.

The U.S. Department of Energy's Advanced Research Projects Agency—Energy will provide the funding through a new research competition that will be announced within the next few months. Its goal will be to find ways in which the U.S.'s abundant supplies of natural gas can be harnessed for use in vehicles and reducing the country's dependence on foreign oil.
