Oerlikon Drive Systems – with its brands Oerlikon Fairfield and Oerlikon Graziano – will showcase several new products at ConExpo-Con/Agg at the Las Vegas Convention Center. The highlight of the show will be the unveiling of Oerlikon Fairfield’s new patent-pending hybrid electric drivetrain technology. This technology, a complete series electric driveline system from engine to wheel which features an innovative energy recovery system, is the first of its type to be designed by a company specializing in drive solutions.
The products exhibited at ConExpo-Con/Agg 2014 will include axles for wheel loaders, Torque-Hub® planetary drives, and Shifting Solutions™ (synchronizers and powershift units) for demanding construction machinery applications. Axles displayed will feature a patented oil circulation pump integrated into the differential and a highly efficient cooling mechanism for the wet disc brakes (WDB). These features are combined into wheel loader axles that support machine weights from 11 to 24 tons.
Dedicated areas will showcase Torque-Hub® final drives used in a variety of track driven equipment, as well as specialty drives for machinery for road compaction or mining.
Also on display will be examples of Oerlikon Drive Systems’ gearing capabilities for custom gears, shafts, crown wheel and pinions.
