Stoneridge Inc. is exhibiting several technologies at the North American Commercial Vehicle Show, being held at the Georgia World Congress Center, Atlanta, GA. The company is located at Stand 2860 in Hall B.
One of the highlights of the show will be the company's Innovation Truck featuring its unique Mirror Replacement System, replacing traditional mirrors with cameras and interior displays. The MirrorEye system enhances safety by removing blind spots, making the driver better aware of dangers, pedestrians and cyclists around the vehicle. Equipped with its own self-cleaning function, the system eliminates issues related to rain and dirt, a defrosting function for winter driving conditions, an advanced image rendering system for blocking direct sunlight reflections, and night vision for improved maneuvering during nighttime further facilitating all-round vehicle operation. The MirrorEye system also renders a more streamlined vehicle, giving better fuel efficiency which is an advantage that alone can pay for the system itself and even more improve the operator’s bottom line.
Also on show is the FCD4, a fully configurable dashboard. The FCD4 features a full display cluster, the integrated rear view mirror system, MirrorEye and head tacking which opens up new possibilities for driver-vehicle interaction. The traditional central information display is replaced with a tablet which allows for removal and use outside of the truck. Apart from the basic functions like navigation, media player and climate control, Stoneridge has chosen to equip the tablet with custom apps to facilitate the trucks driver’s everyday life.
Stoneridge will be presenting its EZ-ELDTM – a simple and cost-effective solution that will keep customers fully compliant with the FMCSA’s upcoming ELD legislation, without the need for added extras or further investments.
The company's latest generation instrument clusters, connectivity solutions, controls, actuators, emission sensors and switches will also be on display.
