Hella Mining, LLC, a joint venture between Hella, Inc., Peachtree City, GA, and Milex Technologies, Inc., Elko, NV, is offering a full line of advanced Work Lamps and Warning Beacons that are specially designed and engineered to meet the lighting needs of mining companies and mining support organizations in the U.S. The new lighting line encompasses the latest innovations in Mobile Equipment Lighting, Accessories and Replacement bulbs.

The development of lighting equipment for mining applications requires a clear understanding of the operating systems and environments. The lamps must be able to withstand a host of extreme environmental conditions, such as high impact, dust, humidity and temperature, while delivering low power consumption, durability, reliability and long life. “We base our lamp designs on data retrieved from extensive research and testing on mining equipment in actual mine operations,” explains Grady.
The primary design goals behind Hella Mining lighting are personnel safety, comfort and visibility. Hella Mining Work Lamps are built to deliver maximum lighting output and homogenous beam patterns to help create an ideal working environment. The Warning Beacons are designed for optimum warning efficiency. They provide high observability at long distance with minimal close up glare, good visibility day or night and excellent penetration in fog or dust.
The Hella Mining Mobile Equipment Lighting line includes Halogen, Xenon and LED-based driving and vehicle Work Lamps, Warning Beacons, Signal and Marker Lamps, and Interior Lamps. The lamps are offered in 12V and 24V versions for a variety of off- and on-road applications. A variety of configurations and housing sizes, lens styles, job specific beam patterns and mounting options are available to meet customer requirements.
