Canfield Connector has released its new 8A Series Reed and Electronic Sensors, engineered to provide reliable cylinder sensing performance for OEMs and system designers. The new series builds upon the company's 8000 Series sensors and introduces a fully molded, encapsulated housing to increase durability in demanding environments.
The molded construction improves environmental protection and insulation, making the 8A Series suitable for washdown environments and applications exposed to moisture or other contaminants. By eliminating potential ingress points, the design supports long-term durability and consistent operation.
The sensors also feature an improved mounting design intended to reduce physical stress on the sensor during installation. Integrated mounting elements help ensure a secure fit across a range of round and tie-rod cylinder applications.
“With the 8A Series, we wanted to take the proven performance of our 8000 Series and make it even more durable and cost-effective,” said Todd Harmon, Vice President of Canfield Industries. “The fully molded design gives customers a better solution for tough environments without adding complexity.”
Key features of the Canfield Connector 8A Series Sensors include:
- A fully molded and encapsulated housing for environmental protection.
- Suitability for use in washdown applications.
- An improved mounting design to reduce installation stress.
- Compatibility with a range of round and tie-rod cylinders.
The 8A Series sensors are manufactured in the USA and are designed for use in various industrial automation applications.
