CASE Construction Equipment has entered into a strategic partnership with Leica Geosystems to provide machine control technologies – both factory installed and aftermarket – throughout its line of construction equipment. The agreement also includes a commitment to shared product development, and is part of a global alliance between Leica Geosystems and CNH Industrial.

The agreement enables the full integration of Leica Geosystems solutions and other machine control opportunities from the factory on CASE equipment, and customers receive greater access and support to these technologies through the CASE dealer network. CASE equipment will retain the ability to work with all major machine control providers through factory options.

“It was important for us to help make machine control technology more accessible and practical for the end user, and this agreement will make it easier for contractors to deploy it through their CASE dealer,” says Jim Hasler, Vice President, CASE Construction Equipment, NAFTA. “Thanks to this partnership with Leica Geosystems, we can look at our equipment from step one and determine the best ways to integrate machine control and other technologies into each machine. By doing this early in the development process, and working directly with the Leica Geosystems engineering team, we’ll be able to provide grading and earthmoving contractors with entirely new levels of productivity and efficiency.”

“We are delighted to have been selected by CASE Construction Equipment for this opportunity,” says Ken Mooyman, President, Leica Geosystems, NAFTA. “Our partnership enables CASE to provide Leica Geosystems solutions direct from the factory and gives their customers broad access to 1, 2 and 3D Machine Control systems and support through the CASE dealer network. Together we have a great opportunity to dramatically improve the working lives of construction equipment users everywhere. Additionally it allows both parties greater early involvement in the development process facilitating equipment integration with machine control technologies.”
