Whether you’re a budget-conscious start-up, a large fleet operator or someone who wants all the bells and whistles, John Deere has a commercial zero-turn mower for you. With three new series of John Deere ZTrak mowers, landscape contractors will be able to select from a full new lineup of machines to best meet their needs.
“Every customer is different, and whether you’re looking for something basic or all the bells and whistles, John Deere has the zero-turn mower for you,” says Steve Wilhelmi, John Deere Tactical Marketing Manager. “Our new lineup provides the choices and flexibility you need when you’re looking for the right machines for your business.”
Kicking off the new line of John Deere ZTraks is the B Series which features the Z915B, a 23.3 hp model with the option of a 48-, 54- or 60-inch 7-Iron II deck. All 7-Iron decks are stamped from seven-gauge steel for maximum durability and enhanced mowing performance. B Series mowers are equipped with full-size rear tires for increased stability on hillsides and can travel up to 10 mph. An optional, integrated material collection system allows professional landscapers to equip their mower with two or three bags for easy cleanup. The B Series also comes with professional grade seat options.
The M Series offers professional landscapers five different mower options (Z920M, Z925M EFI, Z925M Flex Fuel, Z930M, and Z930M EFI) and horsepower ranging from 23.5 to 25.5 hp. With a top speed of 10 mph, the M Series offers flat free front tires and cast iron front forks. Comfort is also key with the available isolation seat option or fully-adjustable, suspension seat option.
The M Series comes equipped with 48-, 54-, 60- or 72-inch 7-Iron PRO decks. The industry exclusive Mulch On Demand technology that allows the operator to switch between mulching and side discharging without ever leaving the seat, is available on the 48-, 54- and 60-inch decks. For easy cleanup on the jobsite, an optional, integrated material collection system provides a dump-from-the-seat option for enhanced ease of use.
Professionals interested in a top-of-the-line ZTR need to look no further than the R Series. Five models (Z920R, Z930R, Z950R, Z960R and Z970R) with horsepower ranging from 23.5 to 35.0 hp round out this high-performing line. The R Series comes standard with the John Deere Comfort & Convenience package with ergonomic handgrips, power deck lift, and grip-located control buttons for an efficient mowing experience. Similar to the M Series, the R Series is available with an isolation seat option or fully-adjustable, suspension seat option.
The R Series comes equipped with 48-, 54-, 60- or 72-inch 7-Iron PRO decks with Mulch On Demand available for the 48-, 54- and 60-inch decks. Ground speed in this series tops out at 12 mph with flat free front tires, cast iron front forks and a cast iron rear bumper.
Exclusive to the R Series is a cross-ported system that routes the coolest hydraulic fluid to the hydraulic pump doing the most work. The lineup also features the Brake-N-Go starting system where the operator only needs to set the parking brake and turn the key to start the mower.
Landscape contractors will also appreciate the peace of mind that comes with the class-leading warranties offered by John Deere. The B Series and the M Series come with a 3-year/1,200 hour warranty, and the R Series comes with a 3-year/1,500-hour warranty.
“With the introduction of the B, M and R Series, John Deere customers now have the equipment choices they need for their fleets,” says Wilhelmi. “But no matter what series you choose, our ZTraks will be backed by the best dealer network and warranty in the industry.”
