Technology News Tracker: Bosch Rexroth Software to Connect Off-Highway Vehicles to IoT

Bosch Rexroth just expanded its Mobile Application Software Architecture (MASAR) to connect off-highway vehicles to the Internet of Things (IoT), which will help to increase fuel efficiency, automate complex and hazardous processes, and cut maintenance costs.

The company has developed an entire modular system made up of mobile electronics, software, control panels and electrohydraulic components to facilitate a data exchange between an engine’s control unit and hydraulic systems.

According to a recent market forecast for hydraulic equipment conducted by Frost & Sullivan, electronic integration will play a vital role in boosting demand for hydraulic products through at least 2020.
