Operating in a power range up to 240kW (320 hp), Tognum's Series 900 engines offer low fuel consumption as well as the ability to meet U.S. emission stage EPA Tier 4 interim (Tier 4i).
- Uses Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) exhaust aftertreatment system reduces nitrogen oxide emissions in exhaust gases
- SCR catalyzer replaces exhaust muffler so only minimal additional installation space is needed
- Benefits include up to 5% reduced fuel consumption
- Similar dimensions and cooling requirements as predecessors enables OEMs to convert applications without extensive modifications
- Same constructional design for US Tier 4i zones as for European EU III B standard zones
- High-pressure injection and optimized combustion eliminates need for diesel particulate filter
