Kohler Engines has introduced gear reductions options, some including a clutch, on select models of the 7, 9.5 and 14 hp Command PRO Horizontal engines. The new options are expected to be popular among end-users in the lawn and landscape, construction and agriculture markets seeking a powerful engine with reduced revolutions per minute (RPM) speed while increasing torque.
The new options will be available in first quarter 2013.
“We have responded to key customer feedback for more choice regarding power,” says Justin Blount, director of marketing for Kohler Engines. “As a leader in engine innovations, these gear reduction options for our Command PRO Horizontal line gives customers a fully engineered product catalog and a single manufacture for all of their power needs.”
