MANN+HUMMEL launches smallest air cleaner to IQORON-V Series

During CONEXPO 2014, MANN+HUMMEL will introduce the smallest air cleaner yet in its IQORON-V Series which will feature a nominal flow rate of 4.5 meters cubed/minute.

Mannhummel Iqoron

At the 2014 CONEXPO tradeshow, MANN+HUMMEL, development partner and series supplier to the international automotive and mechanical engineering industries, will present the smallest air cleaner of the IQORON-V series with a nominal flow rate of 4.5 m3/min.

IQORON-V was developed for applications with high dust levels such as construction machines, agricultural machines and mobile compressors. The series is characterized by high performance, a low installation space requirement and easy servicing and is equipped with an efficient pre-separator with multi-cyclone block. A service switch can be integrated in the housing to monitor the filter load. The air cleaners are fitted using mounting points integrated in the housing. The series covers nominal flow rates from 2 to 14 m3/min.

Depending on the requirements for the service life, the IQORON-V is available with a dust discharge valve or scavenging to increase performance. The version with dust discharge valve achieves a pre separation efficiency up to 90% and with scavenging up to 94%. The position of the dust discharge is flexible and the air cleaner can be fitted in a horizontal or vertical position.

IQORON-V two-stage air cleaners are easy to service. Depending on the size, access for servicing is either from the side or front.

CompacPleat filter element
The core of the IQORON-V is the CompacPleat filter element developed by MANN+HUMMEL. The design of the CompacPleat element offers a larger filter surface area and longer service life in a more compact installation space in comparison to conventional filter elements. In addition the element is free of metal and is therefore fully incinerable. The axial bracing of the IQORON-V ensures the filter is sealed under all operating conditions. These features offer manufacturers and operators of industrial machines considerable advantages compared to conventional two-stage filters.
