John Deere Power Systems (JDPS) exhibited its Tier 4 Final/Stage IV off-highway diesel engines at stand L002 – Hall 5b of INTERMAT, the Paris International Construction Show, in Paris Villepinte from April 20 to 25.
JDPS showcased four Tier 4 Final/Stage IV engines (2.9L, 4.5L, 6.8L and 13.5L), its Integrated Emissions Control system as well as a Stage IIIA generator set power unit and a Funk transmission. Also on display at the JDPS stand was an innovative 125,000-block 9.0L engine, the unique result of John Deere innovation combined with the expertise of the company Mega Bloks.
John Deere is constantly striving to better meet its customers’ needs and has developed a range that offers low cost of operation, optimal equipment performance and confidence thanks to the proven reliability of its engines.
To meet Tier 4 Final/Stage IV emissions regulations, John Deere has continued with its planned approach by developing an Integrated Emissions Control system, which encompasses a variety of aftertreatment and emissions-reduction component combinations. Integrated Emissions Control system technology configurations are tailored to meet regulations and customer needs in each power range.
John Deere is offering three Integrated Emissions Control system configurations for Final Tier 4/Stage IV engines:
- For the 36 to 55 kW (48 to 74 hp) power range, John Deere is offering engine models using an exhaust filter that contains a diesel oxidation catalyst/diesel particulate filter (DOC/DPF) without cooled exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) or selective catalytic reduction (SCR).
- In the 56 to 104 kW (75 to 140 hp) power category, the PowerTech PWL 4.5L engine is equipped with a cooled EGR and an Integrated Emissions Control system configured with SCR and a DOC.
- Engines in the 93 kW (125 hp) and above power range will feature an Integrated Emissions Control system consisting of cooled EGR, a DOC/DPF and SCR.
All John Deere Integrated Emissions Control systems are designed to meet the specific demands of off-highway applications.
