Fuchs introduced an entirely new, versatile, high-capacity port material handler at this year’s bauma, held April 11-17. The MHL390F global unveiling on the Terex Booth FM.711, represented a new capacity class entry for Fuchs and is purpose built specifically for the high production needs of large scrap handling and port applications. The MHL390F is designed to meet customers' needs, no matter if it is a diesel or electric motor, a tracked or mobile undercarriage or a pylon.

"Large scrap and port operations who require a high-capacity, extremely efficient material handler with long reach will especially benefit from this new Fuchs material handler model," says Ron deVries, General Manager for Fuchs.

Product Manager, Florian Bender, adds, "Our new handler offers outstanding reach options ranging from 22-24.5 m, a powerful but ultra-efficient 300 kW engine, two slew drives and a solid undercarriage for excellent stability and massive axles for high reliability in even the most demanding applications. This model was conceptualized from customer requests and feedback, and we are excited to give customers a preview of our new material handler at bauma 2016.”

In addition to the new, massive material handler on display at bauma 2016, Fuchs unveiled its newest cab design that sports classic Fuchs-style elements combined with the latest technologies to embody the symbiosis of tradition, quality and innovative spirit. Unique to the market, the re-engineered operator’s cab is specially designed for purpose-built material handlers. Standard joystick steering improves machine responsiveness to operator commands, while large windows provide enhanced visibility of the operating area.
