FORCE America, a leading fluid power manufacturer and distributor, announces it has acquired Atlanta Powertrain & Hydraulics based in Conley, GA. Atlanta Powertrain is the foremost provider of components and service for power-takeoffs (PTOs), pumps and heavy-duty drivetrain components to the southeastern United States. The acquisition expands FORCE America’s presence in this region and strengthens the company’s ability to provide mobile fluid power solutions to customers across the country. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
Atlanta Powertrain has been serving customers in Georgia since 1979 with a heavy focus on combining the right inventory with industry-leading knowledge and service. The company specializes in Parker Chelsea and Parker Hydraulic Pump products, along with driveline service and repair. The team at Atlanta Powertrain shares nearly 200 years of experience serving customers in the heavy-duty truck and mobile hydraulic market space.
“The addition of Atlanta Powertrain will dramatically add value to our combined customer base in the southeast,” says John Stenz, President and CEO of FORCE America Inc. “We have been very impressed by the knowledge and experience the team in Atlanta brings to helping customers solve issues with their equipment. Most importantly, the culture at Atlanta Powertrain is tenacious about putting the customer first. This is a value the employee owners at FORCE America share and makes the two companies fit well together.”
Immediately following the acquisition, Atlanta Powertrain moved into a significantly larger facility in College Park, GA, a short drive from the Conley location, and just off of I-75. The new site includes an enhanced Parker Truck Hydraulic Center and enables the team to provide additional services and inventory including expanding its offering to include the mobile fluid power solutions manufactured by FORCE America. These solutions include integrated hydraulic circuits and custom manifolds, electronic controls and harnessing, hydraulic hose kits, liquid distribution systems (VariTech Industries) and GPS-based mobile resource management (PreCise MRM).
