Integration of various technologies such as electronics with hydraulic or pneumatic motion systems enables the creation of smarter, Internet of Things (IoT) capable off-highway machinery.
Clint Quanstrom, General Manger of the IoT business, Motion Systems Group, Parker Hannifin, says the company moves beyond telematics to achieve this by connecting to controllers on a machine which control the hydraulic systems. Connecting to these controllers enables over the air operations to allow remote access to the machines to program systems or retrieve data to diagnose any potential problems.
