The flourishing construction machinery market in India is attracting a large number of exhibitors from all parts of the world to this year’s bauma CONEXPO INDIA, which will be held from December 11-14 at the HUDA Ground in Gurgaon/Delhi. Demand for booths at the fair has never been so high. Positive growth forecasts for the Indian construction machinery industry will turn the trade fair into a very important presentation platform for the industry.
Exhibitors are very satisfied with the number of registrations for this year’s construction machinery trade fair about three weeks before the fair’s opening: Compared to the last fair in 2016, 800 sq. m of hall space have been added. Over 700 exhibitors from 25 countries will present their products. Only a few booths are still available. Visitors can expect to see the entire product range of construction equipment. “The trade fair will be completely booked this year for the first time. Compared to 2016 we have grown over 30% – this is a tremendous achievement for bauma CONEXPO INDIA,” says Bhupinder Singh, CEO of bC Expo India.
Positive market forecast triggers great demand
The tremendous reputation of the trade fair is attracting exhibitors from all parts of the world to Delhi. Many major players in the industry have expanded their booth space this year, including ACE, Case, Caterpillar, JCB, Kobelco, L&T, Liugong, PERI, Putzmeister, Sany, Schwing Stetter, Volvo, Wirtgen and Zoomlion. Terex, one of the industry’s giants, is also returning for the first time since 2014. DEUTZ Engines, Doka, Doosan Bobcat, Etrack Crushers (A Keestrack Group Company), Hyundai and Manitou Equipment are returning this year as well. The German company Kaeser Kompressoren SE and the Indian manufacturer Tata Hitachi are attending for the first time.
The huge number of exhibitors is directly related to the strong growth being generated by the Indian construction machinery market and the positive outlook for India’s construction industry. These growth forecasts are being fueled by capital expenditures being made by the Indian government in the expansion of the country’s infrastructure. India is to become the world’s third-largest market for the global construction industry by 2025. Analysts expect real annual growth to average 6.2% over the next 9 years. The construction machinery market will also profit from the infrastructure expansion: Bulldozers, backhoes and excavators will generate huge gains in sales over the next 5 years. “The construction machinery industry has tremendous opportunities ahead of it, and bauma CONEXPO INDIA 2018 is the perfect place to see these trends up close,” Singh says.
bauma CONEXPO INDIA to introduce the buyer-seller program
The buyer-seller program will be offered for the first time. Visitors can fill out a form in advance and identify which product group or companies appeal to them as potential business partners. The trade fair organizer will use this information and arrange brief meetings during the trade fair days. The buyer-seller meetings will be held in a separate area of the fair hall. The service is provided free of charge to both groups and is aimed at international exhibitors.
