TCCI Manufacturing/QUE Products of Decatur, IL and Ningbo, China are celebrating the grand opening of a new, state-of-the-art manufacturing plant in Ningbo. The move comes as a result of continued company growth over the last five years, creating a need for a much larger facility to accommodate new compressor assembly, expanded validation capabilities as well as more office and lab space for an increased technology department and larger staff. The new 14,000 square meter facility is scheduled to be fully operational by November 1, 2011.
“We simply grew out of our current location. Over the last several years, TCCI/QUE has expanded the range of industries we serve and nearly doubled production every year for the past five years,” Vice President Richard Demirjian says. “This new facility allows us to more efficiently serve our customers and positions the company for continued growth.”
In addition to the expanded space, the new ultra modern facility allows TCCI/QUE to assemble swash plate and wobble plate air-conditioning and refrigeration compressors on dedicated automated equipment in a central air-conditioned and humidity-controlled clean room environment. All compressors will be 100% leak checked on a new helium mass spectrometer. The company will now have the ability to produce QP7H15 wobble plate compressors every 30 seconds – quadrupling the annual output.
“Our team can now produce over a million units each year at this facility,” Demirjian says. “In addition to increasing production we’ve expanded our engineering staff. We welcome Edward Arietta to the position of Global Engineering Director. Edward brings many years of engineering design and quality management experience to the Ningbo staff.”
Ningbo General Manager John Chan, has also hired and promoted several new management and support positions to better serve our International customer base.
