The 2018 edition of INTERMAT once again boasted a number of machine and component launches.
Electrification was a key theme for many manufacturers at the show, with Cummins and Deutz introducing their engine and battery pack drive system concepts, Dana exhibiting its electric drivetrain components—which can be used separately or all together in a single system solution—and several OEMs showing their hybrid and fully electric concept machines.
The EU's coming Stage V emissions regulation, which set to go into effect starting in 2019, was also a key topic for many engine manufacturers. Volvo Penta exhibited its entire Stage V lineup for the first time while John Deere introduced its newest Stage V engine.
