Tom Savage, Director of Engineering & Technical Services for ElectroMotive Diesel, a Caterpillar company, explains the relationship between the locomotive on display at the Cat booth at MINExpo 2012 and the mining industry. 

"Locomotives are a part of the whole mining solution," says Savage. The locomotive pulls the train that takes the product to the port or wherever the ore needs to go.
