The new cabin equipment of the Wacker Neuson EZ28 presents itself to the safety and comfort-conscious driver as perfectly conceived – whether in terms of the front windshield mechanism, control lever carrier, cabin entry, layout and clarity of operating or control elements. Ergonomics is the key word, because users who are comfortable are also more productive.
The innovative opening system for the front windshield is particularly practical and convenient. Thanks to the front windshield mechanism with the new ET18 to ET24 models, the driver now has the option of securing both the lower as well as the upper part of the window pane beneath the cabin roof. This not only facilitates the ventilation of the cabin, but the separate removal and cumbersome storage of the lower front window is also omitted and the windows are better protected from damage. In addition, this system offers various opening versions, such as the ventilation position or dialogue position, in which the lower window is pushed under the upper window portion.
Maximum comfort
The modular control lever carriers allow for a completely new operating concept with the greatest level of clarity and safety: Through the perfect integration of the switch panel, display element, joysticks, throttle lever, adjustable arm rests and dozer blade lever, everything is within reach in the new Zero Tail excavator by Wacker Neuson. The color coding of the rocker switch prevents incorrect operation and the new electro-proportional control for auxiliary control circuits provides for precise control and maximum operator comfort. A new locking lever adds extra security when entering and exiting and when starting: To start the diesel engine, the left control lever carrier must to be folded up, otherwise the equipment will not start. This prevents any unwanted movement of the compact excavator.
Thanks to the wide cabin entry and low entry height, the driver's seat of the EZ28 is particularly convenient to reach. The flat, spacious foot well area offers ample legroom and is very easy to clean. In addition to more freedom of movement, the pedals also provide more safety during use. The new Zero Tail excavator by Wacker Neuson is rounded off by versatile storage options.
Proven Wacker Neuson brand quality
As usual, the EZ28 shines with compact dimensions and maximum mobility: No tail swing makes the Zero Tail excavator by Wacker Neuson the ideal equipment in urban construction without doing away with the stability. With the optional Vertical Digging System, the continuous revolving superstructure tilting by up to 15 degrees, gradients and declines of up to 27% can be compensated for. Through exact vertical digging, end users save up to 25% in material and time when excavating and filling. The ergonomics also pay off here, because the upright seating position relieves the back and allows for the usual seating position.
The Wacker Neuson EZ28 compact excavator will be available beginning in May 2013.
