Alan Leupold, Director of Test and Development at Bergstrom Inc., has been re-elected to the Mobile Air Conditioning Society’s (MACS) Worldwide Board of Directors.
This is Leupold’s second term on the board. During his first term, he provided positive direction for MACS’ future, especially for the Off-Road and Heavy-Duty Truck sector training sessions.
“I’m thrilled to continue to work with the exceptional team at MACS to fulfill our mission by leading our industry and providing the training resources needed to serve customers everywhere,” says Leupold.
Founded in 1981, MACS Worldwide is the leading non-profit trade association for total vehicle climate and thermal management.
Leupold has been an active leader in the heating and cooling industry for more than 44 years. His work with MACS began in 1995 as a presenter for the first Off-Road session. His accomplishments include several MACS Technical Leadership Awards and the Pioneer Award in 2009. He is currently Chairman of the SAE HFTC6 Committee and is past chairman of ASABE Operator Environment Committee. He received SAE Outstanding Contribution awards in 2009 and 2011 for his work on technical standards. Additionally, he holds 13 patents for HVAC Systems on off-road products.
Within his role at Bergstrom, Leupold leads test and development lab facilities, equipment and personnel. This comes as the company continues to expand its internal capabilities in product validation and analysis in support of global OEM customers.
He is also dedicated to serving his community. He has been active in many community service groups, local government, youth education and coaches youth sports.
